The structure and the rooms

The realization of the structure of the Vacation House "San Francesco" is extremely cured in detail, inside and outside; with the transformation of this old farmhouse it’s rural charm has been conserved with the combination of the colours and details done with attention.

The vacation house is stationed on only one level with 4 mini apartments available for the guests, each one furnished with taste and attention, to create comfortable and welcoming spaces.

Two apartments are composed of an entrance into a living room with a kitchen, dining room and a 2 place sofa bed, a bedroom with a matrimonial bed and a spacious bathroom with shower.

The other two mini apartments, are made of one single environment with kitchen, table, a comfortable 2 place sofa bed and a attached independent bathroom.

Each apartment is provided with air conditioning hot/cold. There is also, in one of the apartments, a bathroom for handicap available.

The place

Vacation House "San Francesco" is situated near the historical town of Novi Velia, ancient medieval village at the feet of Mount Gelbison, where on the summit there is a Sanctuary of the Madonna (statue of Mary), the highest in Italy, where there was nearby in the ancient times a temple dedicated to the goddess Era.

Closely connected with the ancient Greek city Elea, which stands by the Terrene Sea, near the mouth of the Alento river, today Novi Velia offers numerous and interesting proof of its past, thanks to wealthy artistic heritage.

Novi Velia , historically, was first Longobarda e then Normans, as many archaeological sites of this period demonstrate, such as the tower from the XI century erected by the Longobardi positioned in the highest point guarding the northern part of the urban centre.
